Discover MMA – Complete Martial Arts Training
Want to get fitter, learn practical martial arts skills and challenge yourself with one of the most exciting forms of martial arts training?
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) brings together some of the most effective techniques from different martial arts and combat sports into one complete training system.
At Zone Martial Arts, our MMA classes combine striking, kicking, grappling, takedowns and ground skills in a friendly and supportive environment. Whether you're completely new to martial arts or already have experience in another style, our classes give you the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills while getting a fantastic workout.
And you don't need to be a fighter to train MMA.
What is MMA?
Mixed Martial Arts combines techniques and concepts from a range of martial arts, including boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and other striking and grappling systems.
Rather than concentrating on just one area, MMA teaches students how to move comfortably through different ranges.
You'll learn how to use punches, kicks and combinations while standing, how to control distance and movement, how takedowns work, and what to do when training moves to the ground.
This variety is one of the reasons MMA is so enjoyable. Every class gives you something new to work on and there is always another skill to develop.

Learn Practical Martial Arts Skills
MMA training develops much more than individual techniques.
Students learn how to move, react, control distance, maintain balance and remain composed while working with a training partner.
You'll practise combinations on pads and bags, develop defensive skills and gradually learn how different techniques work together.
As your experience grows, you'll begin to understand when to strike, when to move, when to grapple and how to transition between different positions.
Everything is introduced progressively, so beginners can build their skills and confidence at their own pace.
Get Fit Without a Boring Workout
If spending an hour on a treadmill isn't your idea of fun, MMA could be exactly what you're looking for.
MMA training provides an excellent full-body workout while you're actually learning something.
Classes can help improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, coordination, balance, speed, mobility and endurance.
Because you're concentrating on techniques, combinations and training drills, you'll often forget just how hard you're working!
It's fitness with a purpose.
Build Confidence and Resilience
Learning martial arts can have benefits that extend well beyond the training floor.
As students improve, they often develop greater confidence in their abilities, become more comfortable facing challenges and learn the value of consistency and perseverance.
MMA can be challenging — and that's part of what makes it rewarding.
You don't need to be the strongest, fastest or fittest person in the class. You simply need to keep turning up, learning and improving.
You Don't Have to Fight to Train MMA
One of the biggest misconceptions about MMA is that you need to want to compete or get into a cage.
You don't.
While MMA can be trained competitively, many people train simply because they enjoy learning martial arts, improving their fitness and developing practical skills.
At Zone Martial Arts, you can train MMA without any intention of competing.
Our focus is on learning, fitness, skill development and having fun in a safe and supportive environment.
